Drylands Agroecology Research Ecosystem Restoration Camp – SOLD OUT!

Date: November 2, 2022

Time: 10-2

About the Field Day: Join Nick DiDomencio, Co-Executive Director of Drylands Agroecology Research, to discuss how to design and use water-harvesting earthworks to regenerate land and establish agroforestry systems. This workshop will take place outdoors in the 8-acre silvopasture at Yellow Barn Farm in Longmont, CO and will include an in-depth tour of the contour swale system on site. Lunch is provided for attendees on site. Q & A session during the lunch. Please bring a water bottle. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat since you will be outside in the fields.

There is an option for transportation leaving from the Western Center at 10:00 a.m. and returning there at 2:00.

About the farm: The farm was originally an international equestrian center operating as a large-scale event and boarding facility with over 50 horses and 100 riders. The family has since chosen to revitalize this land for low-scale, high-quality food production, community building, and sustainability education.
