Have you thought about adding a herding dog to your operation? Curious about what it takes to train one up and costs associated? Also wondering if it’s really worth it from an ROI perspective? We’ll discuss all of that, and more, in this workshop. Hana owns and operates Tierra Vida Farm, where her dogs help her with daily tasks. She also trains herding dogs full time for ranch work and competition.

About Hana:
Hana Fullmer owns Tierra Vida Farm and Tierra Vida Ranch with her husband Daniel. For many years, they ran a diversified vegetable farm and rotated chickens and goats as part of their soil fertility and weed and pest management program. That led them to the decision to get Zoey, thought to be a Border Collie but is far closer to a Hanging Tree, to help move livestock. Fast forward to today and much has changed in the operation but the livestock are still there and so are the dogs. Daniel runs the flower and vegetable business as well as hay operation. Hana trains herding dogs, and handlers, full time in addition to doing behavior training for dogs who have issues with manners, reactivity, and aggression. Zoey, 6 years old, has earned her AHBA Championship and also competes in Points & Time and AKC. She works daily on the farm and ranch. Ace, a purebred and registered, Border Collie is becoming quite the reliable ranch hand at two years old and rising quickly in competition. Both of them are treasured family members who work harder, and more efficiently, than any employee we ever hired (and we had some pretty amazing ones over the years).
