Spencer Bukhart

Spencer Burkhart, originally from Punta Gorda, FL, is a 2nd year Ph.D student in the Ecosystem Science and Sustainability department at Colorado State University. His dissertation is focused on applying forage production ecosystem simulations to Eastern Colorado ranches where virtual fencing technologies are utilized. Ecosystem model outputs will inform evolutionary programming models that attempt to capture livestock behavior on the simulated landscape. He strives to create a web-based solution for ranchers to develop optimal timing and placement of pastures based on these model outputs. Spencer enjoys a multitude of outdoor activities in his free time.
