Unlocking Value with Growing GRASS: Regenerative Beef & Bison Byproduct Supply Chains

This session is for anyone, particularly those involved or interested in beef and bison production and processing: farmers, ranchers, herders, meat processors, pet food or apparel industry representatives, tool providers, and anyone working on behalf of regenerative agriculture.

As a group, we’ll discuss the current challenges facing the supply chains of meat processing byproducts, as well as some fast-approaching opportunities to get more value from hides, bones, and organs.

You’ll learn about the vision for Growing GRASS, a USDA-funded Partnerships for Climate Smart Commodities project, including how to get involved in market and funding opportunities provided by the project.

With goals including — but not limited to — energizing byproduct markets, engaging existing and potential partners, expanding access to regenerative verification, and increasing the value of livestock, this session will incorporate video, discussion, and plenty of Q&A.
