Implementing Adaptive Grazing for Resilience
Tracy Mumma, a Sustainable Agriculture Specialist with the nonprofit National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT) and a Western Montana livestock producer, will share how more than 10 years of adaptive grazing has made a significant difference in the climate resilience of her family’s grass-fed lamb and beef operation. Learn how NCAT’s free publications, technical assistance, training programs, and other resources can help you get started with –or keep on—increasing the resilience of your livestock production operation, no matter what stage, scale, or state it’s in.
Tracy Mumma has worked with NCAT since 1999, doing both sustainable communities and sustainable agriculture work. She works on the publications team, editing and producing ATTRA publications. She also posts daily news, events, and funding opportunities to the ATTRA website and writes and produces the ATTRA Weekly Harvest e-newsletter. Tracy is part of NCAT’s livestock team and has written and collaborated on several publications, on topics such as draft animal power, small ruminants, and grazing. She and her family own and operate a small diversified livestock farm in Montana, producing grass-fed beef and lamb through regenerative grazing practices.
