This immersive workshop taught by Dr. Jody Kull, DVM, is designed for all livestock producers. Knowing the normal internal anatomy of your livestock is critical to ensuring their health and success in growth, production, and reproduction. This interactive lab experience will provide insight into animal health through a hands-on exploration of real tissues and organs from USDA inspected animals. We will discuss the normal anatomy and how the structure and function of each organ can impact overall animal health and productivity. Focus will be on the gastrointestinal, respiratory, and reproductive systems based on tissue availability.  Whether a new or an experienced livestock producer, you will leave with practical knowledge about the uniqueness of livestock anatomy.  You will have the opportunity to handle the specimens if you choose.
Please note: Fresh tissues can have a distinct smell and may be bloody. Proper biosecurity protocols will be followed. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded at any point, please notify the presenter and sit down or step out of the room.

If you have any questions, please contact Carrie Balkcom at carrie@americangrassfed.org.
Registration for this will open June 28.
