Venue
The Stockyards Event Center (5004 National Western Dr.) is located on the north side of downtown Denver. The conference hotels are located in the Rino Arts District, a short 5 minute drive south or a 35-minute walk. The CSU Spur campus (where Wednesday workshops and conference roundtables will be held) is a 15 minute walk from the event center.
Parking will be available at the event center ($10 per day & available just for REGENERATE attendees) and CSU Spur (free but open to the public). There are two different parking lots – you can see maps here and here. Denver has a robust network of Uber and Lyft drivers but please allow plenty of time to get a driver. There will be no shuttles between the hotels and the event center/CSU Spur so we encourage you to make friends and carpool over.
Plan for all weather. We anticipate nice weather, but at 5,280 feet above sea level, Denver weather is subject to change and can go from 60 degrees and sunny to 30 degrees and snowy very quickly. Bring layers and plan accordingly. Also, if you’re coming from lower elevation, altitude sickness can happen! Hydration and paying attention to how you’re feeling can be important.
We hope you get to enjoy Denver a bit beyond the conference. You can find local restaurants around the hotels, great museums, and other related events!
Food and Drink
Please bring a coffee mug and/or a water bottle! We have coffee provided by Conscience Coffee and Corvus Coffee. If you forget your drinking vessel, we will have commemorative cups available for $5. The event center also has filtered water dispensers throughout the building.
Lunch on Thursday and Friday will be catered by Blackbelly with produce provided by local farms. Wednesday lunch is on your own, but we have arranged to have two food trucks, Los Dos Bros and Farm to Truck, at CSU outside the Hydro building from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Snacks will be available during morning and afternoon breaks provided by Natural Grocers.
Social events on Wednesday and Thursday evenings will offer light appetizers and a cash bar. Wednesday evening is the Conference Kickoff Social, including an Offal Party with CSU Ag Innovation Center and a Colorado Food + Ag Regenerative Transition Policy Mixer with Senator Cleave Simpson.
Thursday evening will be the Beginning Agrarian Celebration Social sponsored by the National Young Farmers Coalition. Thursday night will also include a Career Connections Job Fair. If you would like to table as an employer during this event, please fill out this form. We’ll close out the night with line dancing; all levels are welcome – no prior dance experience necessary! Just bring your boots and get ready to have a good time!
How We Share the Space
The conference is a public event, and we will have a number of people taking photos and videos for the press and for our organizations. If you don’t want your image used, please let the folks at the registration desk know so we can communicate this to our photographers.
We have had a few requests for a fragrance-free space. To the degree possible, please refrain from wearing scented products such as perfume, cologne, and fragrant personal care products while at the conference, as they can trigger serious health issues for those with fragrance allergies.
We love getting together, and recognize the risk of illness transmission when we gather in large groups. We encourage you to stay home if you think you are sick, or have been exposed to someone who is ill. We will also have masks available at the registration desk for anyone who would like to wear one. If you are unwell, or can’t attend for any reason, feel free to join us in the virtual conference space via Zoom.
We will be offering three meditation sessions with Constance Wilson during the conference
• Thursday: 7:15-7:50 a.m. (upstairs conference room in Stockyards Event Center)
• Thursday: 5-5:45 p.m. (first floor room of Stockyards Event Center near exhibitor hall).
• Friday: 7:15-7:50 a.m. (upstairs conference room in Stockyards Event Center)
Communicating at the Conference
We will also have a podcast corner on Thursday where you can meet your favorite hosts, including Ed Roberson (Mountain & Prairie), Mary-Charlotte Domandi (Down to Earth), Louis Wertz (On Land and Working Wild U), and Anthony James (The RegenNarration). Join in the conversation Thursday morning at 9:55 a.m. in the South Lobby of the events center.
Join us in sharing conference moments on social media! We will be posting from Quivira, Holistic Management International, and American Grassfed accounts via Instagram, Facebook, and X. Tag us or use the hashtag #REGENERATE2024.
We will have Spanish interpretation via headset at the event on Thursday and Friday. We will not have interpretation services on Wednesday. Please ask for a headset at the registration desk.
Tendremos interpretación en español a través de auriculares en el evento del 7 y 8 de noviembre. No tendremos servicios de interpretación el 6 de noviembre. Solicite unos auriculares en el mostrador de inscripción.
