Developing Regenerative Agriculture Leaders
Leadership is the capacity to influence, inspire, and guide others toward a shared goal. Rather than relying on authority or titles, it is a dynamic social process built on trust, communication, and the ability to empower individuals to accomplish what they could not achieve alone.
Most individuals within the regenerative community are leaders, of themselves, their farms, their families, their businesses, and their communities. However, most don’t start out with a skillset that helps them build their best leadership capacity.
This workshop, led by two who believe in constantly growing their own and others’ skills as leaders, is an intentional reflection on how each of us can build our leadership qualities. Linda and Kelly will focus on communication styles, adapting communication, listening to build confidence, and sharing hands-on examples of tools that will help you work more effectively with your team.
– Understand how people process information differently.
– Learn how to work more effectively through team dynamics.
– Understand the context of communication and expectations is essential in farm/ranch settings.
– Understand how communication struggles under pressure.
– Learn how to grow yourself first to be a better leader.
“In Holistic Management, we talk about the land, the livestock, the ecosystem, and the finances. But the people part of that whole picture ~ that’s all about leadership.” ~ Kelly Sidoryk

Professional Certified Educator with Holistic Management International, Kelly Sidoryk and her husband Mike live near Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada where they operate a family ranch running owned and custom yearling cattle with a small cow herd. They also have another ranch near Debden, Saskatchewan. Kelly has been involved with Holistic Management for close to 25 years. She became an HMI Certified Educator in the late 1980s and has taught a number of courses and has worked with many family producers and management groups. Kelly’s father, Dennis Wobeser was an HMI Board member and upon his end of term, Kelly took his place as HMI’s Canadian representative.
