The Art of the Start: Building the Ranch Systems Viability Planning (RSVP) Program
In 2021, the Sustainable Ranching Initiative team at World Wildlife Fund began constructing the RSVP program. The goal was to enroll 1 million acres of private grassland into the program by 2025, providing enrollees with technical assistance, educational opportunities, infrastructure funds, monitoring, and a learning network. The program has a current enrollment of 112 ranches on 1,267,000 acres – but this does not tell the full story. Through storytelling and transparent sharing, Ann Dvorak, SRI Specialist would like to host a panel discussion about the challenges and successes of building the RSVP program. The panel would include Alexis Bonogofsky, Program Manager; Aaron Clausen, Manager, and a Specialist from South Dakota.
