Identifying Grasses and Weeds: Resources for healthy rangelands in NM
38 38 people viewed this event.
Healthy soils require cover, living roots, and diversity. But, what kind of diversity also makes for good forage? At this workshop, we’ll discuss the recent emergence of yellow bluestem at Red Canyon Reserve and efforts to manage this invasive species. You’ll also have the opportunity to practice identifying NM rangeland plant species, learn about noxious weeds in the region, and hear about resources available to improve your soil and forage quality on the lands you steward.
