Livestock First Aid
When livestock emergencies happen, knowing what to do in those first critical minutes can make all the difference. Join us for a hands-on Livestock First Aid workshop led by a local veterinarian covering herd health basics, emergency response, and practical skills every livestock owner should know.
Topics may include:
Recognizing normal vs. abnormal animal behavior
Basic herd health and preventative care
Injury assessment and triage
Dystocias (difficult births) and when to intervene
Wound care and common farm emergencies
Handling sick or injured animals safely
Knowing when it’s time to call the veterinarian
Whether you raise a few backyard animals or manage a larger operation, this workshop will provide practical knowledge you can take home and use immediately. Come prepared to ask questions, learn from local experts, and connect with other producers in your community.
