Thursday Social Event: Resilience Launch Party and Story Circle

The Story Circle is a space to gather, listen, and reflect on what stewardship looks like in practice. Through short, personal stories shared by fellow conference participants and contributors to Resilience, our annual literary magazine, we’ll explore the challenges, lessons, and moments of connection that emerge when caring for land, community, and future generations.

This event also serves as the launch celebration for the newest issue of Quivira Coalition’s annual literary journal Resilience, featuring live readings from selected authors whose work brings this year’s theme of “Water in the West” to life through story, reflection, and lived experience.

The Story Circle invites curiosity over performance and connection over polish; come listen and be inspired! There will also be time to quietly capture your own story in writing — an informal way to contribute your experience and insight to the larger conference community.

Drinks will be served at 6 p.m. and then join us for the Resilience launch party and story circle from 6:15- 7 p.m. After that, mingle, continue telling stories, and enjoy live music for two hours of social time.
