Linda Pechin-Long

Linda Pechin-Long is the Director of the Kansas & New Mexico Grazing Land Network for the National Grazing Lands Coalition, a Holistic Management® Certified Educator, Maxwell Leadership Coach, and DISC Consultant with more than 15 years of experience in livestock production, grazing management, and regenerative land stewardship.

Linda works with farmers, ranchers, and land managers to strengthen decision-making, communication, and stewardship outcomes. Drawing on both practical ranching experience and leadership development training, she helps individuals, families, and management teams navigate challenges, improve communication, and align their actions with their values and goals. Her facilitation style is grounded, approachable, and focused on practical tools that support the stewardship of human, economic, and ecological resources.

Linda and her husband, Keith, steward a diversified livestock operation in south-central Kansas, where they continue to apply the principles they teach. Whether facilitating a workshop, coaching a management team, or walking a pasture with producers, Linda believes that when people and land are stewarded well, both thrive.

Moving Past Breakdowns in Clarity & Communication

Successful stewardship requires more than healthy land—it requires healthy communication. This roundtable will explore the challenges farm and ranch families face when expectations are unclear, decisions are avoided, or communication breaks down. Participants will share what they’ve tried, what has worked, and what hasn’t when it comes to improving communication within their management teams. We’ll discuss how greater clarity and stronger communication can improve management of our human, economic, and ecological resources to create sustained stewardship.
